Community Centered
Through my various experiences in The Forks area I have met a variety of the most interesting, unique and wonderful people. I care about this community. As a way of tangibly expressing this care, Confluence Massage Therapy is happy to support the Dead River Outdoor Club. In 2023 I was able to set up a booth at the first Annual West Forks Riverfest where all proceeds were donated to Dead River Outdoor Club. I was also happy to donate a massage gift certificate to the raffle at their annual fundraiser Guide Olympics. I look forward to being able to grow my support for this club year after year.
Dead River Outdoor Club
This is a unique charity in which 100% of the funds go directly to the various needs of the community. For over 20 years the river community has gathered together to create Guide Olympics, a fundraising event for The Forks area community. This event put on by whitewater raft guides has blossomed into The Dead River Outdoor Club. This club promotes safety, education and continued community development while maintaining a charitable fund to support community members in need. This club has: donated trail signs to the snowmobile system, offered free or discounted continuing education courses, upgraded the safety equipment located along both the Dead and Kennebec rivers and helped numerous community members get back on their feet after stressful and trying times.
